Take Action

You would be surprised at how much a single person can do to bring about change in a city-level government.

In Person Comment – Most Effective

Make a public comment in person at City Council meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. Meetings are held at City Hall at 6 pm.

Next Meeting: Monday 11/10, join us!

  • You do not need to register in advance to provide public comments in person.
  • You have 3 minutes to give comment.
  • Respectful and calm comments tend to be more effective than an abrasive approach.

Remote Comment

With 1 business day’s notice required prior to the meeting, you can attend meetings virtually. This option does require preregistration. Ensure you have tested your microphone and camera before making a comment.

The same rules for in-person comments apply.

Written Comment

With 1 business day’s notice required prior to the meeting, you can submit comments via this web form, which will be read in the next meeting. The 3-minute limit still applies, so bear in mind that an overly wordy comment may be unceremoniously cut off.

Directly Contact City Council

This web form will allow direct comments or questions for Council.

Email addresses for each council member can be found here.

NOTE: There is an election cycle this November that may result in changes to several positions. Therefore, it may be worthwhile to send a comment again in January to the new members.
